Noida: With Civil Work Complete at Underpass Sector 71, the Noida Authority Technical Committee will examine the project on Monday before giving the final forward for its launch.
However, the inauguration of underpass can take a few more days because the authority is awaiting the Minister of Industry Development Satish Mahana visit to the city to officially throw it away for traffic.
“The Technical Committee of the Authority that has been formed to review the progress and quality of the construction of a large ticket infrastructure project in the city will examine the underpass on Monday.
After giving a green signal, the underpass will be officially ready to use,” said a senior authority official to Ti.
Officials, in fact, considered initially opening a carriageway from the underpass to facilitate commuter movements towards Parthala Chowk from downtown Noida.
To divert traffic around the 52 sector and 71 intersections while underpass being built, the authority has eliminated part of the median road, which must be rebuilt.
“The driver is plying through the median violated.
Until the average is rebuilt, the second carriageway cannot be opened for vehicles,” officially added.
Also riders who turn left from Vishwakarma Marg to head to the center of the city of Noida from the 7x sector faced obstacles under the Sector 52 metro station .
As a long-term solution, the authority has requested permission from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to shift the pillar.
Authority officials will create a gap on the underpass wall to shift the pillar from the existing location and facilitate the movement of traffic in a smooth manner.
Officials said that the underpass inspection team would also see Sumpwell’s second condition built to drain water during the rainy season.
Meanwhile, commuting said that underpasses must be removed for traffic immediately after getting ready.
“What is the use of waiting for the Minister if the project is ready.
It can be disposed of for commuting.
We have waited more than two years.
A symbolic inauguration ceremony can be held later if it is very important for officials,” said Ishant Jain, a resident of sector 74.
