Hyderabad: When you think of heritage in Hyderabad, which comes to mind is a fortress, the palace and tomb.
But what we often fail to pay attention is a structure that is more everywhere – Kaman (arches), which stands as a symbol of the noble past.
Most of this Kaman, who used to serve as a large entrance for several important landmarks, is now wallowing in neglect.
One of the arches is Hussaini Alam Kaman who is historic, on a busy road Dhotohbaoli and Hussai nature.
Kaman, which was founded during the Nizam era, stood up as an entrance to the 400-year-old ashoorkhana in the old city of Hyderabad.
However, with concrete pieces falling at any time, the locals urge the authorities to make improvements immediately.

S Surya Kumar, GHMC officials who examined Kaman in December last year, said that there was no threat to the structure that collapsed.
