The terminus of the peenya bus in Bengaluru might get a tech park

Bengaluru: With the 40-crore RS 40-crore bus terminal in the PEENYA – intended for the KSRTC bus which leads to North Karnataka – keep dead, bus Corporation tied with cash, Mulling prepares parking software there.
Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) recently floated tenders for selection of consultants for feasibility studies and transaction advisor services for the construction of office space (software parks) and commercial companies in the PEENYA under the PPP model.
“This project involves the development of the Greenfield from the software park, the commercial space on the ground to two hectares in the peenya.
The land is next to the bus terminal and the Metro Depot.
There is also a proposal to build a metro station side by side with the bus station,” The Tender Reads.
Many passengers say the location of the PEENYA bus terminal is wrong.
“It is difficult to reach the terminal from anywhere in the city because it does not have direct metro connectivity.
When most personal buses operate from the CBD area, why does someone go to the PEENYA bus terminal to take the bus? No wonder the bus terminal is now a white elephant,” Sathish said A, ordinary KSRTC passenger.
By 2020, BMRCL has planned to set up a new station at the PEENYA Terminal.
Although two metro stations – the peenya industry and Jalahalli – are around it, passengers are reluctant to use the terminal due to poor connectivity.
Because of poor protection, KSRTC has wrapped plans to shift the bus to Tumakuru, Pavagada, Davanagere, Hassan and Chikkamagalu to the terminal.
The KSRTC bus station is 1 km from Jalahalli Metro Station and 1.4 km from the Peenya Industrial Station.
However, proposals for skywalk and travelers between metro and bus stations remain on paper.
At present, Kerala State Transport Corporation operates several schedules from the peenya.
Similarly, the KSRTC floated tender for the development of the Greenfield from the office space and residential area in one hectare of land in Wilson Garden with a PPP base.
In Deepajaliagar, he decided to build a commercial and passenger complex center.
“The proposed site is next to the metro station.
We plan to develop this project based on PPP,” said an official.
