Lubbock: San Antonio, Texas, the school district has erased more than 400 books from the library rack, which is included in the list of conservative state parliamentarians may be inappropriate for children.
The northeastern independent school district said in an email statement on Wednesday that it was reviewing 414 books and that most of the possibilities would be returned to the library shelf immediately, following a review for age conformity.

The district said the review came in response to parents’ concerns and requests by Matt Kruse state representatives that all school districts in Texas identified whether their library contained almost 850 potentially inappropriate books.
Most gender address books, sexual orientation or races.
“For us, this is not about politics or sensors, but about ensuring that parents choose what is suitable for their small children,” said Aubrey Chancellor, Director of Communication in the Northeast Independent School district.
He said the district added electronic devices that would let parents see what library books were accessed by their children, and that some books may require parental permission for students to check out.
Advocates of freedom of speech such as Deborah Caldwell Stone, Director of the American Library Association Office for intellectual freedom, worried.
Stone said efforts to ban certain books from the school library have long existed, but never he saw so many people trying at the same time.
Stone said the conservative group extinguished a list of social media books they want to block.
Parents in various parts of the country then take complaints to school officials, encourage reviews.
“They are targeting books that have vote for people who are traditionally marginalized in our society, and, apparently, push the sensors of the books by school boards and libraries,” said Stone.
The American pen, which seeks to protect free expression, Texas said at the center of what was called a national political impulse by the Republic of Parliament members to vilify the book about race, gender and sexual identity.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott in November asked the state education supervisory agency to investigate what he called pornographic books in the school library.
In October, Krause’s representative, as Chair of the DPR Committee at a general investigation, told the Texas Education Agency that his committee began an investigation.
Jonathan Friedman, director of free expression and education in the American pen, said Texas’s efforts were very disturbing and being part of what he called unprecedented trends that had hit several countries.
Friedman said he saw the waves of the school district succumbing to demand that they limit access to books.
“The trend is very clear.
This is a broad and sweeping effort to capture all types of books that handle racism, gender and gender, regardless of the ways in which the books handle the topic,” Friedman said.
Krause Office and the Texas Education Agency did not immediately respond to a comment request.
