Patna: Minister of Nitish Kumar’s chairman on Tuesday said the third wave of Covid pandemics had begun in the state and all the necessary settings were made to save people from him.
Inaugurated the 96th National Conference of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) here, Nitish appreciates the role of doctors in saving people’s lives for the last two waves of pandemic.
“Doctors work tirelessly risk their lives and care for covid and non-covid patients when the first wave and both Covid crashed into the country.
They deserve to get all appreciation,” he added.
CM said that since the third wave of pandemics began in the state, the Ministry of Health was busy improving facilities in hospitals according to the guidelines issued by the central and state governments.
Nitish also informed the meeting of the work carried out by the government to improve health care facilities in the state.
“Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) is being developed as a world-class facility with more than 5,400 beds.
The number of beds in NMCH and several medical colleges and other hospitals in the state are also increasing,” Nitish added.
He said besides preparing a new department, the number of beds at the Indira Gandhi Medical Institute in Patna was also increasing.
“Nine new medical colleges have been established in the state,” CM said.
While ensuring the medical brotherhood of full government support, Nitish asks them to make people aware of health problems caused by consumption of liquor and defecating open.
He said because doctors get different statuses in the community and consider “God” by people to save valuable lives, they can contribute to bringing awareness in society to social crime.
Legislative Assembly Vijay Kumar Sinha, Minister of Education Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Minister of Health Mangal Pandey, Additional Head of Secretary (Health) Pratyaya Amrit, Ima State President Dr.
Ajay Kumar, Secretary Dr.
Sunil Kumar, Managing Director of Ruban Singh Memorial Hospital and around 5,000 doctors from all over the country attended the National Conference.
