The tiger census starts in the protection places in K’Taka

Milton.Wrencemysuru: Karnataka hopes to roar once again.
The forestry department believes it will record an increase in the number of tigers in reserves in the state and regain the tag tag lost from Madhya Pradesh in 2018 which recorded 526 large cats compared to 524 in Karnataka.
Forest officials are ready for the fifth cycle of the number of tigers.
All of the forest staff have been trained for all-India exercises and are waiting for directions from the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), legal entities for tiger conservation in India, to begin the process.
It was announced that the monitoring of the Tiger will begin by October.Karnataka forest officials have shared an annual tiger census data carried out in June-July with NTCA.
Officers said the authorities could seek clarification in connection with the annual number and if needed another survey would be made.
Camera traps or photo-taking methods are used to record the number of tigers.
In each location, two cameras are installed to capture the movement of the tiger and then match the data with the note.
Each tiger is identified by a number that has been given based on the lines of the number of tigers, carried out in 51 tiger reserves as well as in forested areas including wildlife asylum.
Exercise at Maladeshwara Mustlife Sanctuary began a week ago and is expected to be completed within two weeks.
Sanctuary has almost two dozen tigers according to previous data.
A survey will also be carried out adjacent to Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary.
The source claimed that because of the scarcity of the camera in the department, the exercise would stagger because the camera was distributed.
The 2018 census set a tiger population in the state in 524, two less than Madhya Pradesh which recorded 526 tigers.
Foresters claims there is an increase in the number of tigers in the past four years in the state.
According to the 2018 census report, India has 2,967 tigers.
The first tiger count was conducted in 2006 during the time the tiger number was only 1,411 monitoring work throughout the week.
The camera trap method is being used for counts and at 450 locations, each camera pair is installed to monitor the movement of large cat training levels.
Reserve has more than 52 Tigers.Bandur Tiger Reserve SR NATESH says they are waiting for direction for counts and all sets.
