New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said small farmers are now given a top priority in the country’s agricultural policy when he channeled more than Rs 19,500 Crore to more than 9.7 farmer families beneficiaries under PM-Kisan, ‘Scheme revenue support .
PM said the amount disbursed on Monday will help farmers in the ongoing seasayer season and describe how Corpus from One Lakh Crore Hospital for agricultural infrastructure funds will help in creating suitable growth ecosystems in the growth sector.
Noting that the government has made the “largest purchase” of farmers with minimum support prices (MSP), he said in an address through video conferencing: “With this, around Rs 1,70,000 Crore has reached directly to a farmer’s rice account and around Rs 85,000 Crore has been Jump into the account of wheat farmers.
“He also said India had reached between the 10 countries in the world in terms of agricultural exports.
Said that he urged farmers to increase pulse production due to shortages a few years ago, the prime minister said that as a result, there had been a nearly 50% increase in pulse production in the last country in 6 years.
Under the PM-Kisan scheme, the financial benefits of 6,000 per year are given to the families of receiving farmers who meet the requirements in the same three installments each Rs 2,000.
The funds are transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
So far, Rs 1.38 lakh Crore has been transferred to a farmer family since the launch of the scheme in February 2019.
