New Delhi: The Indian Railways has opened the door to travel and tour operators, tourism entities and parties interested in running the “Bharat Gaurav” train-based train.
They can run this train on their choice route and will be free to determine the tariff too.
This means like IRCTC Railways, personal players such as Makemytrip, Cleartrip etc.
can run trains like that.
Announced that the train had begun to accept applications from interested parties, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday said the railway had 3,033 coaches which were equivalent to 150 trains, which could be done by players like that, repairs and can run it for tourists.
The source said some trainers were converted as “coach covid” and still idle can also be used for this purpose.
He said this train would be different from the train plan to allow private players to operate the train on routine routes.
The operator will also be allowed to buy trains, if they want.
