Hyderabad: The transportation sector, like every other sector, was hit by a decrease in the economic induced pandemic in the state.
For the first time, this sector’s income fell sharply from year to year, registering negative growth.
When compared to the previous year, income decreased by 8.17 percent at 2020-21.
This year, the Department of Transportation produces RS 3,228 Crore while in 2019-20, the income is Rs 3,515 Crore.
Officials connect the decline in income to locking and work from home situations in many industries.
“Despite high car sales, other services have been hit.
We hope to return to the positive growth rate next year,” said a top official.
Life tax, quarterly tax, enforcement, and user costs and costs are the main source of income for the transportation department.
The data available with TII shows that this sector produces 1,854 crore Rs in the first year of Dipriaan Telangana (2014-15).
Year-to-year growth rates range from 18 percent to 23 percent in the first three years after the establishment of the country.
The highest growth rate is 23 percent registered during 2015-16 and 2016-17.
From 2014-15 to 2015-16, the state experienced an increase in 20 percent income.
Between 2016-17 and 2018-19 years of finance, the growth rate of 23 and 19 percent respectively.
The first signs of the trend of decreasing growth rates are seen between 2017 and 2018 when at 8 percent.
Between the following fiscal years, the rate of income growth fell below 1 percent, finally reached a negative growth rate of 8 percent at 2020-21.
