New Delhi: The government on Tuesday rejected media reports claiming that India would miss the final target of July to manage 50 covid crore vaccine doses as “not informed and misstupinated” and confirmed that more than 51.60 doses of crore vaccines would be supplied from January to January July 31.
The Ministry of Health issued a statement that referred to a recent media report that alleged that the country would lose the target of a half billion (50 crore) the dose of the Covid-19 vaccine in July-end, while indicating that the government had stated in May that it would produced 516 million (51.60 crore) shooting vaccines at the end of this month.
“This report does not have bad information and clearly misinterpret facts,” said the statement.
The figures of 516 million vaccine doses may have been taken from various sources informed about the possibility of the availability of vaccine doses from January to July-end, he added.
“The fact is that a total of more than 516 million doses of vaccines will indeed be supplied from January 2021 to 31 July 2021,” the ministry said.
It adds that vaccine doses are supplied to the state in accordance with the planned face allocation and they are told about it before.
Vaccines are supplied to the state in various schedules throughout the month.
“Therefore, the availability of 516 million doses until the end of a certain month does not mean that every dose included until the month will be consumed / managed.” There will be supplies in the pipe, which must be available for the next few days until then the inventory of vaccine doses is realized in certain states / districts / sub-districts to maintain vaccination, “said the statement.
45.7 doses of Crore have been supplied to the state and The January Factory Union Area to the date and an additional 6.03 Crore dose is expected to be supplied on July 31.
This will amounted to a total of 51.73 crore doses supplied from January to 31, he added.
“It must be appreciated that India has crossed a dose of 440 million (44, 19 Crore) Dosage (44.19 crore) is set, which is the largest number achieved in the world and has been done at a fairly fast speed.
Of this amount, 9.6 Crore is cases where both doses have been given, “said the statement.
A total of 11.97 covid crore vaccine doses were given in June.
For July (on July 26), a total of 10.62 Crore doses have been given.
This is the government’s efforts to provide vaccinations to citizens who qualify in the shortest possible time according to the availability of vaccines, the statement said.
