ThiruvananThapuram: Chairman of the Pinarayayu Minister Vijayan said that the powers of justice could not be given to agents like Lok Ayukta.
“There is no such power given to agencies such as Lok Ayukta in other countries where they function,” he said.
Vijayan even in Local Law, there is no such power given.
“The power of the judiciary must be locked up only for justice.
This is the reason why the change must be made in action,” he said.
Legal opinion also supports changing actions and that is the reason why the government continued, the ministerial chief said the allegations that the amendments brought to Lok Ayukta acted unclitusional.
The head of minister, who defended the government’s decision, said he would speak with the leadership of CPI to find out about their worries.
“Let me talk to them to find out about their worries first.
So only I can say anything about this,” Pinarayi said, when it showed that the leadership of the CPI did not accept amendment rules.
