Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday approved a vaccination certificate of 17,758 passengers to buy most of the local train trips.
BMC filters 18,324 people for covid certificates that are fully vaccinated.
Today is the first day when BMC starts filtering a citizen vaccination certificate or buying a local train ticket.
17,758 Passengers bought their monthly local train travel tickets.
BMC has established 358 aid tables in 53 train stations in Mumbai from 7am on Wednesday.
Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar and Supplementary City Commissioner Suresh Kakani checked the process by visiting several train stations.
“To make it comfortable for residents to travel by local trains and get a monthly passage pass, the offline verification process for the final vaccination of Covid-19 (completed 14 days after the second dose) began on Wednesday at 53 train stations in the BMC Jurisdiction area and with A total of 109 train stations in the Mumbai Metropolitan region.
They are functional in two consecutive sessions from 7am to 3pm, “said a civilian official.
“This offline process publishes this monthly season ticket will continue on seven days a week until the order further and therefore citizens do not need to rush to the train station,” said Commissioner of Iqbal Chahal City.
Apart from the 53 train station in Mumbai, this offline verification facility will be available at 109 local train stations throughout the Mumbai Metropolitan region (MMR region) including neighboring cities.
