New Delhi: Police complaints submitted against Vir Das and Union Film Employees who were strong on Wednesday said it would not work with him until he apologized for the video “I came from two Indias” who triggered a sharp debate reflecting the polarity of the monologue alone.
Satiris Wellknown, who has issued a statement said that his comments were not intended to insult the country, found support from TMC members of Mahua Moitra.
Actor Kanganana Ranaut also stepped to demand strict action against comedians.
BJP Vice President Delhi Aditya Jha and lawyer Mumbai Ashutosh J Dubey went to the police with their complaints.
While Jha accused the watershed the “degrading” statement on the international platform with the intention to defame the country’s image, Dubey holds it responsible “because of slandering & pampering the image of India in the US, which is inflamed”.
