Srinagar: Anannag Police have broken two terror modules from Jaish-e-Mohammad (JEM) clothes that are forbidden and arrest 11 suspects including three hybrid terrorists.
Hybrid terrorists are those who are not registered with security forces and are only carried by the terror group once or twice to carry out attacks.
Based on intelligence input that JEM plans to carry out attacks on security forces in the Srigufwara and Bijbehara Anannag regions, several checkpoints are arranged in various locations in the district, police said in a statement.
While checking at one checkpoint in Srigufwara, Sakhras Crossing, a motorcyclist with two drivers of being arrested.
Trio tried to escape but was arrested by police alert.
The search for the next suspect produced two Chinese guns along with magazines and ammunition, said a police spokesman.
As long as they were questioned, the suspects identified themselves as Abbas Ah Khan, Zahoor Ah Gowgijri and Hidayatullah Kambay, all of Anantnag.
The third revealed that they were associated with JEM and troubled directly with Pakistani-based handling, for those who planned to attack security forces in Srigufwara before officially joining KFF, JEM branch.
Based on information obtained from the trio, two more terrorist associations – Shakir Ahmad Gowgojri and Musheraf Amin Shah, both of them from Srigufwara – arrested, spokesman said.
Arms and ammunition other than other burdensome material restored from their ownership.
The case was registered in this case and further investigation was active, the spokesman said.
Anantnag police destroyed another terror module in Bijbehara by capturing five KFF kafsi and holding a small one.
Arms and ammunition and other burdensome items were confiscated from the suspect, five of them were identified as Fayaz Ah Khan, Muntazir Rashid Mir, Mohd Arif Khan, Adil Ah Tarray, Zahid Ahmad Najar.
The case is registered in this relationship and further investigation is underway, a police statement.
