The queue continues to be built at the refueling station, especially in London and Southern England, including on one site in Hampshire where the transportation truck carrying a visible military helicopter.
Forces are expected to be used in a few days to help relieve the crisis, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson insisting this week that the situation returned to normal.
Chief Secretary Treasury Simon Clarke told Sky News on Thursday that “more fuel was sent to the gas station than sold, so the crisis is now completely controlled again”.
However, the Petrol Retailers Association said 27 percent of the station was dry – the same number as on Wednesday.
“Pre members report that while they continue to take further shipping from fuel, it runs out faster than usual because of unprecedented requests,” said Head of Association of Gordon Balmer.

The Johnson government campaigned to end the free movement throughout Europe during Brexit, promised to “take back control” from what he saw as an uncontrolled immigration.
But last weekend reversing the rules of entry to offer a foreign truck driver of a neglect of a three-month visa, hoping to alleviate the lack of drivers who have hit the supply chain in general.
“It is important to remember that fuel stocks remain normal at refineries and terminals, and shipping has decreased solely due to the shortage of HGV drivers (heavy vehicles),” Balmer said.
