LONDON: The British Ministry of Defense on Monday apologized after the secret document assessed the movement of the Navy Royal warship on the Black Sea was found at the bus stop.
Defense Minister Jeremy Quin told the government parliament “very sorry” for a hose, which he was blamed for senior officials of the Ministry.
One document, found by community members in Kent, Southeast England, and handed over to the BBC, is marked “Secret: Eyes UK”.
The BBC reported on Sunday that the paper cache discussed the possibility of Russian response to the Defender HMS Royal Navy who traveled through Ukrainian waters from Crimea.
Russia last week said it fired a warning shot into the destroyer because it violated his territorial waters, tiring further diplomatic bonds between London and Moscow.
But England said it was making “innocent parts” in accordance with international law.
Quin told parliamentary members of the missing documents now returning with the Ministry and access to individuals to suspended sensitive materials, waiting for an investigation.
The unnamed employee reported the loss, he said, added: “I don’t want to be prejudice inquiry but it seems this is a mistake by the individual.” Among these documents was a plan for the possibility of a sustainable British military presence in Afghanistan after the end of the US-led NATO operation later this year.
British allies, including the United States, have been told, said Quin, added that he had “no evidence” that personnel safety was compromised.
Some lawmakers in the conservative party Prime Minister Boris Johnson recorded repeated security violations at the Ministry of Defense in the past six months.
“We have no record of documents abused at the level of ‘secret’ above in the last 18 months.
But obviously this should never happen,” Quin said.
