LONDON: The UK has reported 174 deaths related to other Coronavirus, the highest number of deaths recorded in one day since 175 recorded on March 12, according to official figures.
The total number of deaths related to Coronavirus in the UK is now at 131,854.
These numbers only include the deaths of people who died within 28 days after their first positive test.
30,838 other people in the UK have tested positive Covid-19, bringing the total number of cases of Coronavirus in this country to 6,555,200, Xinhua reported.
Meanwhile, data from the National Statistics Office (ONS) showed on Tuesday that there were 652 deaths related to Coronavirus registered in the UK for a week until August 13, the highest number since 800 deaths were recorded on March 26.
The latest data came because nearly 5,000 cases of Coronavirus in the UK allegedly related to the music boardmaster and surfing festival in Cornwall, with health officials launched an investigation.
About 4,700 people have tested the boardmaster after being positive in Newquay earlier this month, with 800 thinking of life in Cornwall, but cases spread in the UK.
While the latest numbers show a significant increase in the past few weeks, the number of deaths is still far below the peak of the winter and thanks to the progress of the vaccine launch.
More than 87 percent of people aged 16 years and over in the UK have the first dose of vaccines and more than 77 percent have received both doses, the latest figures show.
