Geneva: The United Nations urged the Taliban to maintain “promises,” including promises to give amnesty to former government workers in Afghanistan, showed inclusive for women and allowed girls to stay in school.
“The Taliban has made a number of statements that on the surface convincingly,” said UN Human Rights spokesman Rupert Colville told reporters Tuesday in Geneva.
