Prayigaj: The authority of the University of Allahabad will provide Honority D.Litt to record the poets of Gulzar for their contribution to poetry, films and cultures.
The title will be given to the poet mentioned at the AU meeting scheduled for September 23, this year.
The decision was taken at the AU Academic Council (AC) meeting held on campus on Wednesday.
“We have begun to make preparations to hold meetings in offline mode but the same can be stored in online mode such as and if needed.
AU has decided to give dlitt to the poet recorded and immediately AU will contact him to get his approval”, said Au Public Relations Officer, Jaya Limb.

Lyrics, poets, writers, writers scenario, and famous film director, Gulzar is the recipient of Padma Bhushan (2004) and Dadasaheb Phalke Award (2013).
He must get his credit a lot more hours including five national film awards, 22 Filmfare Awards, One Academy Award for the best original song (2008), One Grammy Award (2010) besides Sahitya Academy Award for Urdu (2002).
The meeting also decided that all PhD holders from the 2018-19-19-20 session would be given a degree in a meeting.

The Sanskrit translation is Yavatyah Shakah Tavanto Vrikshah or Yavty Shakha Stavanto.
