Washington: The US Department of Justice and the Federal Maritime Commission on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding to foster cooperation and communication between institutions to improve competition in the maritime industry.
Memorandum establishes a framework for the Antitrust Division of the Ministry of Justice and the Commission to continue regular discussions and review law enforcement and regulatory issues that influence competition in the maritime industry.
