Washington: United States Tuesday condemned the launch of the latest North Korean missiles as a threat to the international community, and reaffirmed its commitment to defending South Korea and Japan.
The State Department said the point-blank that this second test in less than a week was a ballistic missile, not suspected as South Korea described it.
“This launch violates several UN Security Council resolutions and pursues a threat to neighbors of the DPRK and the international community,” the department said, using an abbreviation of the North Korean official name.
