WASHINGTON: Biden Top Administrative Officer on Tuesday hosted for a strong crown Prince of Saudi Arab, Mohammed bin Salman, during the highest visit that was known because the US made the findings of public intelligence that connected the crown prince to the murder of Jamal Khashoggi journalist.
The Biden government did not openly reveal a visit by Khalid bin Salman, Deputy Defense Minister Saudi Arabia, before or immediately confirmed Tuesday’s meeting officially.
President Joe Biden has promised to make the prince of the royal crown during his president’s campaign for the murder of Khashoggi and other violations, but his government instead emphasized US strategic interests with Saudi Arabia.
Khalid bin Salman met for a while at the Pentagon with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and General Mark Milley, Chairman of his own head of staff, an official said, spoke with anonymous requirements to discuss unpublished meetings.
Prince Saudi held a longer talks at the Pentagon with Colin Kahl, the words surveyed the defense for the policy, the official said.
Khalid bin Salman is also scheduled to speak with the Jake Sullivan National Security Advisor and, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Victoria Nuland’s raw words and Counselor Crane Chollet, said two US officials, also spoke with the terms of anonymity.
Officials spoke with anonymous requirements because they were not authorized to talk about the visit.
Americans and Prince on Tuesday are expected to discuss things including war in Yemen, military and Saudi contracts concerns over US efforts to return to nuclear agreements with Iran, Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi government did not have public comments directly on Tuesday’s visit.
Khashoggi, a columnist for The Washington Post who has written critically from Mohammed bin Salman, was killed by Saudi officials in October 2018 at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.
Khashoggi, based in the Washington DC area, has gone to the consulate to get documentation for the upcoming marriage.
Biden Administration in February released the declassified intelligence report concluded that Mohammed bin Salman, a strong son of the old Salman king, has ratified the Saudi Security Officer team and the intelligence that killed Khashoggi.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not immediately respond to questions to Tuesday about why they did not announce Saudi’s official visit.
They also did not immediately respond to the question of whether Biden’s administration had concluded Khalid bin Salman did not play a role in the Saudi organization behind the murder of Khashoggi, or instead decided that US interests required Biden officials to senior Royals even though there was a public to the killing royals killing.
Khalid bin Salman has become a royal ambassador in Washington at the time of the murder.
When Khashoggi disappeared after going to the Saudi Consulate in Turkey, Khalid bin Salman insisted on the days that the allegations of official Saudi involvement in his departure were unfounded.
The Washington Post reported that Khalid bin Salman told Khashoggi to go to the consulate in Turkey to take the wedding paper needed, and tell him that it would be safe to do.
