LONDON: The United States on Wednesday became a member country of 101 from the International Solar Alliance (ISA) led by India, such as US special presidential USE for John Kerry’s climate signing the ISA framework agreement to catalyze the global energy transition through the Solar LED approach.
Kerry described US membership as a big step towards the rapid spread of solar power, because he officially signed a framework agreement at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow.
“It’s been a long time ago, and we are happy to join the International Solar Alliance, where Prime Minister Narendra Leads in making,” Kerry said.
“We are working on the details and this is the process we are happy to be part of.
This will be an important contribution to the spread of solar power that is faster globally.
This will be very important for developing countries,” he said.
The Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav welcomed the US as an ISA 101 member.
“This step will strengthen ISA and encourage future actions to provide clean energy sources to the world,” said Yadav.
