The US launched an air strike in the help of a fought Afghan forces

KABUL: The United States has carried out air strikes to support Afghan government forces who have been under pressure from the Taliban when US foreign troops led by the final stage of their country’s withdrawal from the country.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby told reporters on Thursday, air strikes supported Afghan security forces in the last few days but did not provide details.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the strike was on Wednesday night on the outskirts of the southern city of Kandahar, killing three of their fighters and destroying two vehicles.
“We confirmed this air strike and we condemned this in the strongest term, it was a clear attack and violations of the Doha agreement because they could not have an operation after May,” he said, referring to an agreement between the United States and the Taliban cleaned the road to withdrawing US troops , “If they do any operation, they will be responsible for the consequences.” Reuters cannot immediately reach a spokesman for US forces in Afghanistan to confirm the time and location of the strike.
Under the original withdrawal agreement between the United States and the Taliban, broiled by the Trump government and entering the capital of Qatar, all foreign forces are expected to disappear in May if the Taliban meet security guarantees.
President Joe Biden announced in April that US forces will retreat on September 11, angered the Taliban who estimates the withdrawal will be completed in May.
Because of the decision with the withdrawal of Biden, violence has increased sharply with militants launching a major attack, taking regencies and border crossings is important and circling or approaching several provincial capitals, including Kandahar.
Almost all US troops, except those who protect the embassy in Kabul and the capital’s airport, have left the country.
Afghanistan rival side has held peace talks in Doha but progress is slow.
Kandahar province traditionally became a fortress and battle of Taliban there had been heavy in recent weeks with rebels who captured the main border crossing with Pakistan in the south, in Spin Boldak.
Reuters journalist Denmark Siddiqui was killed in the area last Friday while closing the clash between Afghan security forces and Taliban fighters.
