San Antonio: A Texas man elbows a prison who tries to handcuff after the man is convicted of killing a police detective San Antonio.
The jury discussed about 25 minutes on Monday before punishing Otis McKane (40) from the capital murder at the Fatal Shooting November 2016 Detective Benjamin Marconi.
Prosecutors seek the death penalty for McKane, with the trial phase of the trial will begin on Tuesday afternoon.
A bailiff tried to handcuff McKane when he elided his face before several officers pushed him to the adjacent room.
Joe Gonzales District Prosecutor and Defense Prosecutor’s Office Joel Perez refused to comment on the explosion.
Gonzales said Bailiff was not seriously injured.
Marconi was shot fatally when he sat in a patrol car during the dismissal of traffic that did not involve McKane, said the authorities.
Mckee, when he was taken to prison after the shooting, told reporters that he “attacked someone who did not deserve it” because he was upset with the court system.
McKane said he was angry because he was not allowed to see his son during the battle of detainees.
Perez argues that Marconi has sent and receives personal text messages before the traffic stops and is not officially on duty, therefore McKane cannot be charged with capital murder and qualifies for death penalty.
