WASHINGTON: The Federal Prosecutor is discussing the possibility of a requesting offer with a member of a group of defendants in the US Capitol invading the allegations of the relationship with the far oath guard movement, a government lawyer told the federal court on Friday.
During hearing about the prosecution status from the January 6 attack, the Federal Prosecutor Kathryn Rakoczy said the government had initiated a discussion about the possibility of a request for at least 12 of the 16 defendants connected with the oath guard.
This movement focuses on current recruitment and former military, law enforcement and emergency service personnel.
Five people died, including a US Capitol police officer, when President Donald Trump’s supporters invaded the Capitol to try to stop Joe Biden’s official certification as the winner in the November presidential election.
The South Poverty Law Center identified the oath guard as “one of the largest radical anti-government groups” in the United States.
Three people who were described as defendants in the oath goalkeeper had entered the guilty request for charges associated with January 6 riots and agreed to cooperate with investigators.
Rakocy told Judge Amit Mehta at the Friday trial that it was possible that additional guilty requests would be included in the case of oath guards.
While most of the defendants defendant defendants from the oath guard link were released on guarantees, at least three remained in pre-trial detention.
Lawyers and Judges Mehta indicated that at least some cases of delayed oath guards could eventually take place to court.
In the hearing of a separate federal court in Washington on Friday, a San Antonio man pleaded guilty of the cost of mild violations relating to riots.
Matthew Carl Mazzocco, 37, from San Antonio, Texas, pleaded guilty of allegations of violent behavior on US Capitol.
The federal court document described Mazzocco as a mortrutic loan officer for CMG Financial and said he posted photos of himself on Facebook at US Capitol with his statement, “the capital is ours!” Session of punishment for Mazzocco was set for October 4.
