The US State Department was recently hit by a cyber attack, and notification of the possibility of serious violations carried out by the Department of Defense’s Cyber command department, a Fox news reporter tweeted on Saturday.
It is not clear when the violation was found, it was believed to have occurred a few weeks ago, according to the Twitter Twitter Reporter Fox News.
The reporter added that the department’s sustainable mission to evacuate America and allied refugees from Afghanistan had been “unaffected”.
“For security reasons, we are not in a position to discuss the nature or scope of each cybersecurity incident that is suspected at this time,” said a spokesman.
Without confirming any incident, a source said the department had not experienced significant disorders and had not been hampered by its operations.
