San Francisco: US officials are preparing new antitrust lawsuits against Google for their power in the online advertising market, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.
Bloomberg quotes unnamed people who are familiar with this issue say the Ministry of Justice can apply for litigation at the end of the year.
Titan’s internet reaffirmed its position on Wednesday, said it competed fairly on the online market where people had many choices.
“Our advertising technology helps websites and applications fund their content, allow small businesses to grow, and protect users from exploitative privacy practices and poor advertising experiences,” Google said in response to AFP investigation.
“There is great competition in advertising tools, which have created more relevant online advertisements, reduction costs, and expanded options for publishers and advertisers.” Last year’s Department of Justice officials demanded Google for its dominance in search and online advertising, and similar cases have been submitted by US State groups.
The US Parliamentary members’ Advanced Blockbuster Legislation in June aims to limit the strength of large technology companies with sweeping antimonoprust legal reform, setting a stage for a difficult floor battle in Congress.
Members of the House of Justice Committee approved six bills that target Google, Apple, Amazon and Facebook business practices.
One bill limits the ability of the technology platform to utilize their controls in various business lines, potentially opening the door to break down several giant companies.
The bill headed to the full representative representative board, where the controversial debate was expected amid fierce opposition from the technology and allies sectors.
Any bill will need a way through the house and the senate and the president’s signature.
The results of the package are still unclear, with parliamentarians from both sides who violate from their party.
