WASHINGTON: The US health authority on Friday begged the covid vaccine shelter to roll their sleeves and get their shots, because of the case, hospitalization and death soared.
“There is a clear message that comes: This becomes a not vaccinated pandemic,” Disease Control Center and Rochelle Rochelle Prevention Director told reporters.
The agency reported more than 33,000 new cases on Thursday, brought an average of seven days to 23,306, a 70 percent increase in the previous week.
On average seven days of hospital admission are around 2,790 per day, an increase of 36 percent.
And after a week of decline, the average death of seven days was 211, an increase of 26 percent.
Nails are focused on the community with a low vaccination rate, and “American account is not vaccinated for almost all hospitalizations and the death of Covid-19 recently,” said Jeff Zients, the Coordinator of the White House Coronavirus response.
New waves are driven by the Delta variant, which now accounts for more than 80 percent of new cases, according to Covspectrum Tracker.
A recent study in the journal Virology shows Delta growing faster in the body compared to past strains, and infected people spill more than it in the air, greatly increasing the possibility that it will be transmitted.
Vaccines, including those made by Pfizer, Modera, and Johnson & Johnson, remain very effective against the variant, but the United States immunization campaign has slowed dramatically in recent weeks.
President Joe Biden set July 4 as the target for 70 percent of adults has received one or more doses, but on July 15, the figure is still only 67.9 percent.
At the current level the goal will not be achieved until the end of the month.
Part of the country that chooses former President of the Republic of Donald Trump in the 2020 election has a much lower level of vaccination than those who choose Democrats Biden, and are now in the midst of a surge surge.
Hotspots include Missouri, Arkansas, and Louisiana.
But health officials hope that, because 80 percent of the most vulnerable age groups above-65 are fully vaccinated, hike inpatient and death will not be sedamic such as a case surge.
