KABUL: Taliban has said that Washington will not have the right to attack the country after August 31, following the drawback of US drone in the province of Nangarhar Afghanistan, Geo News reported.
The Taliban-led government will stop such attacks in Afghanistan after August 31, said Suhail Shaheen, a spokesman for the Political Office of the Group.
This statement came when US and foreign troops were arranged to complete military withdrawals after two decades of war.
On Friday, the US has launched a drone attack on the ISIS attack “planner” in East Afghanistan.
This was a response to suicide bombings at Kabul airport which killed 13 US troops and more than 150 Afghan civilians.
Taliban’s main spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid also condemned US drone strikes last night against Isis.
The Pentagon on Saturday has notified that two “high profile ISIS targets” were killed during air strikes in Afghanistan on Friday.
“I can confirm, because of further information, that two high profile ISIS targets are killed, and one wounded.
And we know zero civilian casualties,” said As Maj Gen Hank Taylor, Deputy Director of the Staff together for regional operations.
US media reports stated the ISIS-Khorasan planner from Kabul Blast, targeted at US drone strikes, found in a compound in the Jalalabad area.
According to CNN, the individual targeted is known by the US but new intelligence after the Kabul attack was attempted to provide justification to target it.
