The US worked on Havana’s syndrome after diplomat disease in Paris, Geneva, said the Secretary of the US State Antony Blinken

WASHINGTON: The United States still does not know what the disease is known as Havana Syndrome or responsible for this, US Secretary Antony Blinken said in an interview on Thursday after more American diplomats were reported to be sick in Paris and Geneva.
Blinken said the entire federal government worked to get to the foundation of the disease, which had befallen around 200 US diplomats, officials and family members abroad.
“Until now, we don’t know exactly what happened and we don’t know exactly who is responsible,” Blinken said in an interview with MSNBC.
The Wall Street Journal on Thursday reported additional diseases among officials serving in US diplomatic missions in Paris and Geneva, where the United States and Russia held security talks on Monday on the border of Moscow’s forces near the Ukrainian border.
Blinken said the United States has raised the disease with Russia but still cannot make a determination about who is responsible.
Mysterious diseases bring symptoms including migraines, nausea, memory irregularities and dizziness.
It was first reported among US officials in the Cuba capital in 2016.
Blinken said he had met employees of the Department of Foreign Affairs throughout the world who described this disease and how this incident disrupted their lives.
“There is no doubt in my mind that people have been directly affected and strong,” he said.
“We work overtime throughout the government to get to the basics of what happens, who is responsible.
And in the meantime to ensure that we care for anyone who has been affected and protecting all our people to the best of our abilities.”
