Coimbatore: The new Covid-19 cluster has been formed in Somanur with a vegetable seller and 25 of its main contact and the secondary tests the positive virus in the last few days.
The official senior health does not wear face mask properly is one of the main reasons for infected cluster formations when the test results arrive on August 18.
On the same day, 250 secondary contacts were made to undergo Covid-19 and 17 testing of them found positively when the results occurred on August 20.
“We have released the whole road as a detention zone.
All those infected shifted to the Covid Care Center in the Fair Trade Codessia complex.
None of them are in critical condition and requires oxygen support.
They are stored in observations,” the official said “during field visits , our staff members have seen most people either without a face mask or wear it incorrectly.
While the staff ask them to obey the etiquette of facial masks, the response is lukewarm.
“Shows that the area is solid with houses beside one.
Another, Aruna said the virus transmission would be faster in such a compacted area, if those people did not fully follow preventive measures.
“We have fed up other people about the importance of wearing facial masks and washing hands and cleans them with intervals that are often to keep the virus in the bay.” The road, he said, was disinfected for the past three days.
“Fever camp is being done to check whether more people have symptoms.”
