Ghaziabad: The vehicle lifting gang was damaged on Tuesday with the arrest of four members.
According to the police, the defendant has been identified as Keshav, Pradeep and Shaksham – the three of them are residents of Gautam Budh Nagar, while Satyaveer from Bulandshahr.
Prabhat Dixit, Sho, Police Station Bhojpur, said that on August 2, the gang had booked a taxi through an online taxi aggregator to go to Mukimpur Village where they took the driver in Gunpoint and tied his hands and legs.
After taking money, the car key and other valuables from the driver, the defendant had escaped from the place.
In another incident, on August 9, the gang had robbed the White Swift Dzire car in Gautam Budh Nagar.
“First, the police arrested Keshav and Satyaveer.
During interrogation, they reveal the names of other gang members along with their address.
The police then arrested two others and recover two four-wheels along with cash and other valuables from the accused of ownership, “Add Dixit.
The police also restored two stating-made guns along with cartridges directly from their ownership.
The four defendants were ordered under Section 395 (punishment for Dacoity), 412 (dishonestly accepting property stolen in the Dakoitas Commission) of the IPC and relevant parts of the ACR.
The defendant was sent to detention after producing it before the district court.
