Pune: A woman, whose husband recently surrendered to Covid-19, has contributed Rs 1 Crore to the trust of the famous Pandharpur temple in the Maharashtra Solapur District, said the source on Wednesday.
He donated money according to his husband’s last wishes, sources close to the word temple.
The woman, who has a six-year-old daughter, wants to remain anonymous and does not want the temple trust to divulge information about the donation, they said.
“He has given several collective checks worth Rs 1 Crore from a varied date scattered this month.
While submitting the check, the woman told the office carrier from the temple of the belief that it was her husband’s desire to give the amount received from Lord Vitthal insurance.” Source, which does not want to be identified, said.
