Muzaffarnagar: As the priest shouted prayer for a dead soul, occasionally assessed can be heard from the meeting.
Nearly 3,000 Kurdish villagers in Saharanpur UP have gathered on Saturday to attend Terahlvi Babuji.
Unlike what is suggested by his name, Babuji is not a senior village – even though he is given the same respect for those that have been for parents.
This term was used by Kurdish residents for a 20-year-old bull who spent his life between them before he died on August 15, sending all the hamlets to sorrow.
In the following days, religious ceremonies, including cremation, Rasam Pagdi and the Terahvi (Feast Death) were carried out for Bull.
“Babuji died of natural causes.
He is like a family member for us,” said Manish Tyagi, a resident.
The village has raised money to cover ritual costs, including the Grand Feast for 3,000 participants on Saturday.
Some young people have Photoshopped Pictures of Babuji to cut local residents standing on the side.
Photos, decorated with flowers and banknotes, take the center stage in Havan.
Priest Naresh Pandit said the puja was intended to bring peace and a sense of closure for the local population.
“He never hurt anyone.
Children love to play with him,” said Bhola Tyagi, another resident.
The locals say the bull is considered a “gift from divine”.
“Some people found him roaming the holy site in the village when he was very young.
Many call him Nandi (Bull Shiva),” said a resident.
