Ghaziabad / Noida: Only 42 of the 76 health centers planned in Ghaziabad are currently functioning because no one dips public health workers (Chos).
In Noida, there are 61 health and fitness centers, including 35 at the sub-center level, and among them, 26 do not have Chos.
These sub-centers are the first health care points in the village and family planning, counseling sessions, routine immunization programs and Ante-Christmas inspections are planned at this facility.
Some centers also conduct procedures such as copper insertion IUDs, as part of the family planning drive.
The government has planned to improve the sub-centers that focus on maternal and child health for health and health centers and in Ghaziabad, the target is to increase the number of facilities to 76 in fiscal years.
But only 42 operations.
The head of the medical officer, Ghaziabad, Dr.
Bhavtosh Shankhdhar, usually, one Cho posted at each facility.
In the first week of August, CMO had written a letter to the Director of the National Health Mission (NHM) who was looking for the appointment of Cho for 34 centers.
But the response is waiting.
Officials at Noida also said that regular requests were made for state officials about Cho posts.
“We have 23 new health and fitness centers that need Chos.
In addition, there are three centers where the Cho post has been empty since the beginning of last year,” said Manjeet Singh, District Program Manager, NMH, Gautam Budh Nagar.
He added that there were also around 128 sub-centers managed by local levels of health.
Under NHM, health service workers get a six-month bridge course that appears for the exam before being chosen as Cho.
