The village school in GUJ has 32 children’s writers, poets

Ahmedabad: Jorawargadh, near the Indian-sir border village in Banaskantha Gujarat district, has carved a unique difference for himself.
Thirty-two students between the ages of 8 and 13 village government elementary schools have become writers and poets, writing 5-35 original stories and poems already.
While 20 students from the village have participated in the State Level Story and ESAI Writing Competition, the Principal of Dr.
BG Patel and Language Teacher Rita Parmar Looking to compile the stories and poems written by children into books even some of them intend to take writing as profession.
“We started the concept of creative writing in 2015-16 with the aim of ensuring the overall development of children.
However, surprise us, many students are very promising and have written quality original stories, “said Jorawargadh Basic Elementary School B G Patel.
Kajal Luhar, 13, who has written more than 30 stories so far, he said, and others began writing because it was taught, but soon he realized that he loved writing.
“Writing is now passion for us.
We are happy to write original stories and poems, “Kajal said, whose parents depend on agriculture to get their livelihoods.
He classmate Kinjal Chaudhari, who has also written more than 35 original stories, said that he wanted to be a writer when he grew up.
“I spent most of me writing free time.
I want to be a writer when I grow, “said 13 years.
Both girls have written original stories since they were in class IV.
Rita Parmar, who taught the language for students from grade 6 to 8 at school, said that when the authorities began experiments in 2015-16, it was not very successful, but gradually, students took the talent of creativity and wrote.
“Now, students from the lower class are increasingly inspired by their senior achievements,” he said.
