Dumka: Some villagers in the Dumka District Block Gopulaldar on Monday dug the road to Block Pachuara South Block which was proposed to prevent district officials from going there to attend the meeting due to defeat.
District administration and Nevyeli Lignite Corporation, PSU that has been assigned blocks, is scheduled to hold public hearing with villagers on the site to assess the environmental impact of the project.
Go without choice, the trial must be postponed.
According to local sources, the residents of Chirudih, Kundapahadi and Mohuldabur Village blocked the only route that led to the meeting place in the Kundapahadi football land by digging so that there were no vehicles that could pass.
Nearly 500 families living around the proposed coal block are afraid of displacement.
BDO-cum-circle officers from the Gopulation Anant Kumar Jha said, “Village residents are told about meetings well in advance through the right channel.
But I know at the eleventh clock that has been postponed.” Coal blocks have been allocated to Nevyeli Lignite Corporation in the year 2013 and the block has the potential for excavation of 279 metric tons.
Due to the delay in the achievement of various survey work, coal production in the block has been hampered for a long time.
JMM Littipara Mla Dinesh William Marandi, under the constituents of the falling coal block, blamed the PSU, the Ministry of Mining and District Officials for the commotion.
“I, being MLA, was told about hearing last night, so you could imagine if the authorities had an interest in truly telling the landowner about the previous meeting,” he said.
