Mumbai: The volume of domestic air passengers side by side 70.46 percent in October to 89.85 lakh in the same month 2020, DGCA data showed on Thursday.
Indian operators have flown 52.71 lakh passengers in October last year.
Can be recalled that domestic traffic along with international flight services remains closed for two months to 25 May 2020, when scheduled air services continue in a multilevel method.
Scheduled international flight operations to and from India remain suspended like now.
Indigo on October 2021 flew 48.07 lakh passengers, accounting for 53.5 percent of total domestic traffic.
In fact, Air India, which is now arranged to go to the new owner of Tata Group, carrying 10.61 lakh passengers with a market share of 11.8 percent, according to data.
Vistara’s full service operator, which is a tanjana joint airline, flew 6.96 lakh passengers during October, cornering 7.8 percent of the total pie.
AirAsia Indian budget carrier brought passengers 5.72 lakh in the previous month and had a market share of 6.4 percent, according to DGCA data.
Two other operators – go first (erstwheile goair) and spicejet – transported 8.84 lakh and 8.10 lakh passengers, on October 2021, weaning 9.8 percent and 9 percent of the total domestic passenger traffic.
In terms of average performance on time or time timeliness in the operation of four main airports – Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, the Indigo market leader delivered the highest OTP at 88.8 percent which flowed by Vistara with 88.1 percent and AirAsia India 86.9 per cent cents, according to data.
