The water impact summit is organized by NMGC, C-Ganga, in New Delhi

Completed / Alvi Times Network Kanpur: The 6th India Landmark Summit Water Impact (IWIS), held jointly by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) and Management Center and Basin Ganges (CGanga) Basin (CGANGA), held from December 9 to December 14.
This five-day Summit is held in hybrid mode – online and physically in the NMCG office, New Delhi and IIT Kanpur.

Abhay Karandikar, Director, IIT Kanpur said, “IIT Kanpur has carried out strict and relentless initiatives to ensure good ganga health.
In line with such efforts, I believe this summit will start the eternal discourse in ensuring not only the conservation and preservation of Ganga But also from all the water bodies that are important to us.
“After discussions about various themes and problems, the main advice that arises is: the river decreases if the exploitation of their resources is uncontrollable, the conservation of the river must have a clear goal; Traditional water conservation techniques, as practiced in Rajasthan, must be actively reproduced in India; Given the inter-linked river, ponds and other water bodies, the bottom-up approach to the conservation of the river stated by CGANGA is highly recommended; Israeli water-saving irrigation method, etc.
The Summit witnessed the signing of the MoU between the CGANGA and the Norway Institute of Bioeconomy Research (Nibio) for the development of the mud framework.
Likewise, two mice have also been signed with the Danish innovation center and Hungarian UPS to encourage knowledge sharing and increasing the participation of the Hungarian industry in the Ganga Basin Restoration and Conservation program.
The MoU between CGanga and British water was also signed to promote the development of 21st century infrastructure in the environmental and environmental sectors.
