Madurai: The water level in the Mullaseriyar Dam will increase to 152 feet after strengthening Baby Dam and the problem with Kerala will be sorted by the two governments during the Pinarayan Pinarayan minister, said Air Resources Minister Duraimurugan.
He spoke after examining the Multapyar Dam in the Idukki district in Kerala on Friday along with his cabinet colleagues, I Periyasamy, P Muhorts, a sakkapani and official.
Three trees near the Baby Dam site caused an obstacle to the reinforcement of the dam.
“When we asked the Kerala Government, they said we had to ask the Ministry of Forestry which in turn said it was a forest reserve.
I will take action to remove trees and dams will be strengthened.
Water storage will be increased to 152 feet after that according to the Supreme Court’s decision, “he said.
