New Delhi: On one hit, the Supreme Court has opened the way to release 66 prisoners in prison where they spend around 20 years while serving a life sentence.
Judge Indira Banerjee and J K Maheshwari praised them and directed that they were released with guarantees while agreed to hear their requests challenging the government’s decision not to provide premature releases from prison.
The prisoners moved SC through Advocates Rishi Malhotra who requested that SC recently directed the release of many similar prisoners and the same temporary assistance provided to them.
