The way to Delhi University, with fate and design

New Delhi: As Covid-19 continues to bring havoc for the second year, the University of Delhi (DU) campus which usually survives students and various activities continue to wear a quiet display.
Universities, however, try not to maintain vital decisions too long, and decide on the new format of reception and the UG program structure.
From the next academic session, the Bachelor Du candidate is to take a shared entrance test.
Legal entity, the University’s Executive and Academic Board, has issued a proposal that will provide a weight of 100% to the entrance while the board sign will be used as a qualification criteria.
The university reassures its reception process because it has caused a high-sky cutoff sign for performance-based undergraduate programs for years.
Nearly 10 courses have a 100% request score in many colleges this year, with very few courses that have cutoffs under 90% in the first list.
In the midst of increasing concerns about the marking process on several boards, a committee DU recommended a joint entrance to provide candidates “fair opportunities to appear in a single umbrella examination at the national level and their reward evaluation”.
The committee, led by the Dean of the DS examination, said the exercise would “get rid of existing deviations such as the distribution of acceptance in several categories above and above the other in all applicants from various boards, overadmissions.
DU will also revive the fourth undergraduate program at Under the 2020 national education policy of the next session.
Below, students will have several entry points and exit for a period of four years.
In the fourth year, they will do research work based on which degrees will be given.
While the concept concept covers the academic bank and teaching in hybrid mode, some academics have raised concerns over its implementation.
Ak Bhagi, President of the Association of the University of Delhi, said, “Our first concern was to save the Honors three-year program; DU must be able to maintain its flagship program.
There should also be no decline in the workload of teaching and not having to teach face to face to be replaced by a massive open online course.
“He also demanded that ad hoc staff and his contract be absorbed as a permanent employee before adopting a new format.
Concerns also grow on the increasingly deep digital gap, the consequences of online classes due to pandemics.
While DU allowed the last year students to return to campuses on campuses September for practical classes and to access the library, the presence remains on the bottom side of the college.
However, trade unions have demanded repairs to the total campus.
Deputy Chancellor Baru Du, Yogesh Singh, has clarified that the university would not “rushed to anything “He shows,” Our situation is different from school because we have a large number of students from various countries.
There are a number of good Covid cases in several states.
“After ironing technical disruptions, DU also continued with an open book inspection (OBE).
Officials said the mechanism was implemented to prevent students from using unfair ways such as copying.” More than 350 students were arrested in June and their paper or the whole semester was canceled.
, “Word of Rawat.
However, some teachers are still hesitant about OBE’s effectiveness.
Kumar Ashutosh, a teacher at the College Tourism Department of Vocational Studies, said that it has made students” more relaxed “in their approach to the exam.” This will have an impact on the prospect of their work.
We got feedback from the company hiring this year that candidates fell short in basic domain knowledge, “Ashutosh said.
