Pune: Rajesh Deshmukh District collector on Saturday said the trial of the Bharat Biotech production unit in Manjari is expected to begin in August or the first week of September as informed by company officials.
Company officials have submitted a detailed plan to local administration, by saying only posing trials, they will be able to inform the actual production date.
“Company officials have told the administration that they have completed the process of spreading labor, such as recruiting scientists and engineers, while the NOC regulator is in the pipe.
They also examined all mechanical installations in the unit,” Dishmukh said.
Local administration has promised full support to plants and said they regularly touched with corporate officials to provide infrastructure support and ensure a quick distance so that production can begin earlier.
At the Covid review meeting a month ago, Deputy Minister of Deputy Maharashtra Ajit Pawar said that the unit would start production at the end of August.
Division Commissioner Saurabh Rao and Deshmukh collector have visited the factory in Manjari Khurd in mid-May and held detailed discussions with Bharat Biotech officials.
But Bharat Biotech refused to comment on plant progress.
