Coimbatore: A 50-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday for killing her one-year-old grandchildren by destroying her head to the wall and pushing the wrapping of the biscuit in her mouth at her house on Jalan Anbagam on Tuesday.
Police RS Purus said the woman, who was identified as R Nagalakshi, used to torture her grandchildren, often vent her anger in Daughter-in-law Nithyanandam, who married her 24-year-old daughter Nandhini against her wishes.
The officer said Nagalakshi was in a rented house in Anbagam Street near Puram Hospital and worked as a housemaid with a hotel.
