JAMSHEDPUR: In the case of other wizard hunting, a 55-year-old woman was beaten to death in a village, about 50 km from Jamshedpur by two neighbors for allegedly practicing black magic, a senior police official said on Thursday.
The woman was allegedly beaten mercilessly until she died on Wednesday night.
Her husband rushed to the place to save him was expelled by the attackers, police deputy supervisor Chandra Shekhar Azad said.
The half naked body of the woman looks a bit far from the village of Mangad on Thursday morning and the villagers immediately told the police, the official said.
The police rushed to the place and arrested the allegations, who had thrown away in the bushes.
The woman was attacked and attacked after a complaint by the wife of one of the neighbors she felt unwell since the woman visited their home and held her wrist on Wednesday night, a local resident said.
The victim’s husband told the police that he was accused of being a magician and harassed by the villagers.

The data of the National Crime Record Bureau for 2019 revealed that Jharkhand was ranked third in the case of magician hunting and recorded 15 murders related to the crime.
Chhattisgarh with 22 murders is above the list.
Killing on behalf of the witch continues to increase despite taking a conscious campaign, strict action on the perpetrators and the existing rules to curb threats.
Jharkhand has adopted the prevention of Witch Practice (Daain), 2001, to stop the incident.
