Mumbai: State transportation workers who participated in recent attacks and have been dismissed from services will not be restored in the near future, the Minister of Transportation of Anil Paratab told the legislative council on Monday.
Replying complementary during the question and answer hours, Paraab said the government at six opportunities to advise workers to continue the promising work to attract suspension orders, various notifications incurred for workers and even police cases.
“Striking workers think the government will not do anything but we have responsibility to the public as we do to workers.
Those who have been dismissed cannot be immediately restored,” he said.
Parab says schools, colleges have begun and the ST bus provides subsidized services for these categories which are because workers attack they cannot use.
The three members’ committee had seen a merger of business with the government, he said.
Paraab added that employees who died while on duty during the Covid pandemic and matched the guidelines, their families had been given compensation for 50 lakh Rs, those who did not have their family provided Rs 5 lakh by country transportation, he said.
BJP MLC Gopichand Padalkar said about 47 workers died during a strike and demanded the salary salary of government to their families.
Parab said the government was considering giving work about the reasons for their family members.
MSRTC management announced on Monday night downstairs 174 employees who have participated in unlimited strikes who have completed two months now.
With this, the total number of staff dismissed so far is 415.
