The police in China said they had arrested a 30-year-old Canadian man unified Wu because he was suspected of being rape, with the country’s media identified him as Pop singer Kris Wu.
Wu was being investigated on charges made online “cheating young girls to have sex with him,” According to a statement by police in Chaoyang Regency in the Beijing Chinese capital on Saturday.
Wu was accused of openly last month by a 18-year-old Chinese student to induce him and other girls, some of them under the age of 18, to have sex with him.
The student told Chinese media last month that Wu had lured him to have sex when he was 17 years old after calming him with liquor.
Police statement last month said students were invited by Wu’s team to his home for casting in music videos.
Wu had previously denied the allegations and was not immediately contacted on Sunday.
Studio Wu did not immediately respond to a comment request.
The law firm did not answer the call.
Canadian Embassy in Beijing did not immediately respond to email requests for comments.
Not immediately clear whether Wu’s arrest was associated with students who made accusations in July.
Wu made his Hollywood debut in the 2017 ‘XXX Sci-Fi movie: Return of Xander Cage’ which is a Bollywood star starring Padukone Deepika.
He previously members of the K-Pop Exo group.

At least a dozen brands including Porsche and Bvlgari have cut bonds with WU after charges, which have caused a social media storm in China.
Chinese state media has indicated that Wu’s celebrity status and foreign citizenship cannot help the case.
“Overseas nationality is not a talisman, no matter how famous he is, there is no immunity.
Anyone who violates the law will be punished by law,” said people belonging to the Communist Party every day on social media posts on Saturday night mentioned by the case.
