Coimbatore: A 19-year-old young man was arrested on Monday to post provocative videos on social media.
The tendril police identified the defendant as R Abinesh, a resident of Mathiyazhagan Nagar.
A police officer said they had arrested six young men after two football teams fought each other in Junction’s tendrils last month.
The preliminary question revealed it was the song Gaana who provoked the fight between two teams.
“They came out with a bail recently.” Meanwhile, Abinesh released another Gaana song, threatening other football teams with terrible consequences, on social media.
“We have registered a case against young people under section 387 (putting a person in fear of death or sad sadness to make extortion) from the Indian criminal code and arrest him.
He produced before Judicial Judge, who returned him in the custody of the judiciary,” the officer said that.
He said the young man sang Gakea to praise the police department for his services to the public when he was at the police station.
“We have recorded videos and it’s viral on social media.”
