Thiruvananthapuram: A 23-year-old man died on Sunday when a car that quickly hit his scooter at the National Highway bypass in Kallummood near Muttathara.
Suraj alias Sudhi, Sunil Kumar’s son and Molly from Surya Bhavan at Paravilakom near Ayiroorpara outside the city, was the deceased.
The tragedy hit when he returned home after dropping his wife Midhuna in a nursing institution in Thiruvallam, where he studied.
The police said that the accident occurred around 9 in the morning.
In accordance with the eyewitness account, Suraj was knocked down by the driving car, Hyundai Creta, from behind while trying to catch up.
Even though he was taken to the hospital, his life could not be saved.
There were four men in the car, one of them escaped from the scene after the accident.
Local people understand they suspect that they are under the influence of alcohol, and hand them to the police.
The driver of the car, was identified as Brown, 52, from Varkala was arrested on charges of guilty murders who did not amount to murder.
The relevant part for drunking drunken and driving dangerous under the action of motorized vehicles is also called.
The police have also collected a blood driver sample and sent it for the exam to confirm whether he was under drunk.
Police said that Suraj, who worked as a driver, married two years ago.
The car that caused the accident occurred from Kovalam to Varkala.
The police also confiscated a car.
